Adding, claiming & running a venue

Get your room on Spotagig, claim one that already exists, use the venue directory and map, and keep a list of producers you trust.

A venue profile is your room on Spotagig: it gives your stage a public page, lets producers put shows there, and gathers everything happening under your roof in one place.

Getting your venue on Spotagig

Before you create anything, search the Venue Directory — your room may already be listed from an imported event.

  1. Already there? Claim it Open the venue's page and claim it. Once it's yours you can edit it properly, and its existing events come with it.
  2. Not there? Add it Use Add New Venue and fill in the Basic Information — name, address and the details that help people find you.
  3. Check the duplicate warning If Spotagig spots a Similar Venues Found match, look before you continue. Claiming the existing entry beats creating a second one that splits your history in two.

Running your venue

Venues → Dashboard is your home base — the shows coming up at your place and what needs attention. The sidebar also gives you Add event to Venue and Import Events, so you can build a calendar the same way a producer does. See creating an event.

Venues → Settings is where the profile itself lives: content, theme and branding, your team, and the options below. See editing and managing a profile. To publish a menu, house rules or accessibility info into your profile nav, use custom profile pages.

The venue directory & map

Venue Directory lists every venue on Spotagig. Search by name or filter by City and Country, and switch between the list and Map view to see what's near you — handy for performers planning a run of dates and for producers scouting a room.

Producers you trust

If several producers put on nights at your venue, you can keep a list of the ones you know and trust in your venue settings.

  1. Open your venue settings Find the trusted producers section.
  2. Choose Off or On Leave the limit Off (default) so anyone can add events, or turn it On to auto-approve only trusted producers.
  3. Search and grant Start typing a producer's name and add them. They appear under Currently trusted.
  4. Revoke any time Remove a producer from the list whenever the relationship changes.
What trust does By default, anyone can add an event at your venue and it is auto-approved. Turn on Limit event adds to trusted producers in this section when you want only the producers on your list to be auto-approved — others will need your approval. Keep the list current either way so it is ready when you flip the switch.

Handing the venue over

Sold the place, or someone else is taking over the bookings? The venue's owner can transfer ownership to another user. Only the owner can do this — if you just want to give a colleague access, add them to the team instead, which is reversible. See sharing a profile with your team.
