Finding gigs & applying for a spot

Browse open events, filter for the ones you can actually apply to, and send your application as the right performer profile.

A spot is a slot for one performer at one show. This page covers finding shows with spots going and getting your application in. Once you've applied, everything moves to your spots & invitations.

You need a performer profile Applications come from a performer profile, not from your account directly. If you don't have one yet, create one from Profiles — see editing and managing a profile.

Finding shows to apply to

  1. Browse events Go to Events in the sidebar to see what's coming up.
  2. Filter to what's open to you Use the Open for me filter. This hides shows you can't apply to and leaves the ones actually accepting applications — including any that are open only to a closed list you're on.
  3. Open a show that fits Check the date, venue and description before applying — producers notice when an application suits the night.

Applying for a spot

  1. Hit Perform On an event that's Open to all performers, use the Perform action to apply.
  2. Check who you're applying as If you manage more than one performer profile, the Applying as selector decides which one the producer sees. Pick the act that fits the night.
  3. Send it Confirm with Apply. Your spot arrives on the producer's side as requested, and appears in your spots list straight away.

When the producer comes to you

You don't always have to apply. Producers can invite you directly — then a spot shows up as invited and waits for you to accept. They can also share an invite link, which works even if you haven't claimed your performer profile yet.

Changing your mind

Applied by mistake, or something clashed? You can withdraw an application before it's confirmed, and drop out afterwards if you really have to. Both live on your spots page — see your spots & invitations.

Get invited more often Producers search performers by name and browse profiles before inviting. A profile with a good photo, a clear description and links to your material is what makes that search land on you.
