Mailing lists & staying in touch

Collect subscribers with the public subscribe box and manage them with Spotagig lists, Mailchimp or Brevo.

An audience that hears about your next show directly is worth more than any algorithm. Spotagig collects subscribers for you and keeps them wherever you already work — a plain Spotagig list, Mailchimp or Brevo.

Pick where your list lives

Open your profile's settings and find the mailing list section. Choose a Provider:

  • Spotagig list — the simplest option. Nothing to connect: subscribers are stored here and you manage and export them from Spotagig.
  • Mailchimp — connect your Mailchimp account and subscribers flow into one of your audiences.
  • Brevo — connect with a Brevo API key and subscribers flow into a Brevo list.

Mailchimp and Brevo need connecting once under account settings — look under Mailing lists in the integrations section. If a provider isn't connected yet, the settings panel points you there with Connect in account settings. See connecting integrations.

Then pick which list or audience to attach to this profile and Save mailing lists. A list you attached that has since disappeared at the provider is flagged Unavailable at provider — remove it and attach a current one.

Each profile has its own list Mailing lists are per profile, so a venue and a producer you both manage can keep separate audiences — and you're free to use different providers for each.

Collecting subscribers

Once a list is attached, a Subscribe to updates box appears on your public profile. Visitors give their Email and optionally a First name, and land on your list whichever provider you chose.

Depending on the provider and how it's configured, subscribers may get a confirmation email to click before they're fully on the list (double opt-in). Re-subscribing is safe — someone already on your list won't be downgraded or duplicated by signing up again.

Managing subscribers

When you use a Spotagig list, open Manage subscribers from profile settings (inside the mailing list accordion, below the provider settings) or from the Mailing List section on your public profile. You can also reach it from the manage link in the accordion body.

  1. Add someone by hand Collected addresses on paper at the door? Use Add subscriber with their Email, and optionally Name, City and Country.
  2. Remove someone Remove takes them off the list.
  3. Export the list Download a CSV of your subscribers whenever you need it — your audience is yours to take with you.

Unsubscribes

Every list has a Public unsubscribe link. Put it in the emails you send so people can take themselves off without going through you — it keeps you on the right side of anti-spam rules and out of spam folders. Find it on the manage page, or next to Manage subscribers in profile settings when you use a Spotagig list.

Consent matters Only add people who actually asked to hear from you. Buying a ticket isn't the same as opting in — see attendees & door check-in.
