Co-producing an event with someone else

Add another producer to a show so both teams can manage it, and understand what the lead producer keeps control of.

Some shows are a joint effort. Adding a co-producer lets another producer's team manage the same event, and puts the show on their profile alongside yours.

Adding a co-producer

  1. Open the event Go to the show's Manage page and find the co-producers section.
  2. Search for the producer Start typing their name — matches appear as you type.
  3. Add them Click to add. Their team can now manage the show, and it appears on their producer profile too.

Removing a co-producer is the same place, in reverse. It takes the show off their profile and ends their access — it doesn't affect the event itself.

What a co-producer can and can't do

Co-producers share edit and manage rights: they can work on the event details, spots, lineup and green room like you can.

The lead producer — the producer set on the event itself — keeps a few things:

  • Who gets the ticket money. The lead producer is the merchant of record, so ticket revenue flows to their connected payment account. See getting paid.
  • Where the show sells. Only the lead producer's team can change the selling options on the Ticketing tab.
  • Organizer billing. The lead producer is the organizer of record on the event and owns its closed lists.
Lead producer, or co-producer — not both The producer already set as the event's lead can't also be added as a co-producer. If you want to hand a show over entirely, change the Producer on the event instead.
Just adding a colleague? If the person is on your team rather than a separate production company, add them to your profile instead — see sharing a profile with your team. Co-producers are for collaborating across two producers.
