Come wind down with a drink, a snack, and a dangerously funny lineup of comedians doing longer, darker sets in a chill, cozy bar.

The Loose Stool is a weekly pro open mic where experienced comedians work out their new material — from sharp tour sets to wild experiments. Expect 3–4 pro comics doing 10–15 minute sets, and sometimes we throw in a fresh face for a short, chaotic surprise.

It's been a rough year. We’re done. Mentally, emotionally, organizationally. So screw it. No more, "The best of the best", no more "Berlin's funniest comedians". We're embracing our inner failures and just throwing caution, good taste, and good business sense out the f***ing door. Organizing is hard. Chaos is easy. Bring on the chaos.

And as for you? It's the holiday season, you're stuck in Berlin because no one loves you. That's ok. We don't love you either. We're not even sure we like you. But we can hate and seethe and fester in our failures together. And isn't that what the holidays are really all about?

So join us for a ho-ho-horrible time.

This Saturday, for the end of the year, we have two back-to-back shows.

Both Show-Up-To-Go-Up.

Both free / donation-based.

No lineup. No promises. No quality control. Absolutely no f**ks given.

This is The Best and the Worst of Dark Mode — whoever shows up, goes up.

Pros working out new stuff. Newbies making terrible choices. People lying about how long they’ve been doing comedy.
